Prévessin-Moëns, a small town in the Pays de Gex, is bordering Switzerland, with which it shares more than 4km of border and a customs post. It borders the French communes of Saint-Genis-Pouilly, Ferney-Voltaire and Ornex. The commune covers 1207 hectares and includes thehamlets of Brétigny, Vésegnin and Magny.

Prévessin-Moëns has 8,706 inhabitants of more than 60 different nationalities, known as Prévessinois(es). It is, without a doubt, the commune that has experienced the highest population growth in the Pays de Gex, going from 5,482 to 8,706 inhabitants in ten years (from 2011 to 2021), an increase of more than 58 %. Its housing stock is therefore quite recent , as 40.9% of housing was built between 2006 and 2015 to meet this strong demographic development.

Prévessin-Moëns is indeed a very popular town in the Pays de Gex, because of its geographical location and the authentic and bucolic atmosphere that emanates from it: the perfect compromise between the countryside and the city !
At the heart of the town is the Parc du Château, which occupies 19 hectares, 11 of which are open to the public.

Ideally located, 2 minutes from the Swiss border and in the immediate vicinity of CERN, Geneva and its airport, Prévessin-Moëns enjoys a privileged location. The town is easily accessible, regardless of your mode of transport.

By bus, you can reach it by cross-border lines 64 - linking Meyrin-Gravière to Ferney-Mairie - and 66, linking the Airport to Thoiry-Centre Commercial. Regional line 33 linking Bellegarde to Divonne-les-Bains via Ferney-Voltaire also stops at Prévessin-Moëns. Just like its neighbours Saint-Genis-Pouilly and Ferney-Voltaire, Prévessin-Moëns has a large and diversified transport offer, which is essential for the mobility of its inhabitants.

Prévessin-Moëns: an identity and a village spirit

Every Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Prévessin-Moëns market takes place on the small Place du Colombier. The latter is dotted with local shops necessary for daily life. The town has a supermarket and the nearest shopping centre is the Espace Candide in Ferney-Voltaire.
 
For your children, the city has 2 public nurseries, 4 private nurseries, four school groups with nursery and elementary school for each, and a middle school. The nearest high school is in the neighbouring town of Ferney-Voltaire.
 
In terms of infrastructure, the city has a city-stadium with leisure area, beach volleyball, pétanque and skate park, 2 football pitches, 6 tennis courts, 3 of which are covered, a gymnasium as well as a multi-sports field, sports courses and fitness equipment in the park of the Château. Prévessin-Moëns is also animated by a rich associative life.

Prévessin-Moëns : a dynamic real estate market

With 40% of its inhabitants under the age of 30 and 25% between the ages of 30 and 44, Prévessin-Möens is a young municipality. Its environment, its infrastructure and its geographical position make it a municipality that attracts families (they represent 64% of households and 51% of them have at least one child) and executives. This last socio-professional category is indeed the most represented, since it concerns 23% of the inhabitants of the municipality. The majority of residents own their own homes (55.5%) and live in apartments (56.5%)
